MRICS / AssocRICS Building Surveyor – Expert Witness / Housing Disrepair


UK-wide | Flexible workload | Local inspections | Full admin support


I’m working with an established Housing Disrepair and Expert Witness practice that is looking to expand its panel of Building Surveyors across the UK.


This is a flexible consultancy-style opportunity for experienced Building Surveyors who are interested in taking on additional inspection and reporting work within their local area. This is a flexible contract arrangement and the contractor can work through their own Sole trader-ships or Ltd companies.


The work

You will undertake full Housing Disrepair inspections and prepare technical reports for legal purposes.

• Instruction allocation

• Appointment booking

• Diary coordination

• Tenant and solicitor communication

• Chasing access and documentation

• Report formatting and review

• General administration throughout the instruction

Requirements

• Building Surveying background

• Strong residential defects knowledge

• Good report writing ability

• Professional communication skills

• Ability to manage instructions within agreed timescales

• Housing Disrepair or Expert Witness experience preferred, but not always essential
