Job description
Are you looking for a new challenge where you can truly make a difference alongside a team of like‑minded, supportive colleagues?
At Wateringbury Surgery, our mission is simple: to deliver the highest standard of patient‑centred healthcare, grounded in compassion, respect, and integrity. We pride ourselves on being a practice where staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to develop their careers.
We are a friendly, forward‑thinking dispensing practice caring for 11,000 patients, with 3 GP Partners and 6 Salaried GPs, supported by an exceptional team of Nurses, HCAs, Receptionists, Administrators, Dispensers, and our Management team.
As an active member of the successful Malling PCN, we also benefit from the expertise of Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedics, Mental Health Practitioners, and Care Coordinators.
We have recently achieved RCGP Active Practice Status and have an enthusiastic workgroup dedicated to promoting movement and wellbeing among staff and patients—offering everything from lunchtime movement sessions to opportunities for volunteering in our practice garden.
Our practice is:
- High‑achieving in QOF.
- Rated “Good” by the CQC.
- Supported by the PCN Paramedic team, resulting in a low home‑visiting rate.
We are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP (or GPs) to join our warm and collaborative team for up to 8 sessions per week.
What We Offer:
- Up to 8 sessions with flexibility to support work–life balance.
- Competitive salary, aligned to experience and qualifications.
- BMA‑template contract.
- Operating on EMIS Web.
- Access to integrated digital tools, including Anima, Ardens, BetterLetter, Lexacom, and AI-driven pathology result processing coming soon.
- A supportive, inclusive, friendly work environment.
- On‑site free parking.
- Six weeks’ annual leave plus one week of study leave.
- Career progression opportunities, including support in developing specialist clinical interests.
- Monthly clinical meetings.
- Birthday annual leave.
- Staff discounts.
Who We’re Looking For:
- GMC‑registered GP (newly qualified or experienced).
- A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
- Willingness to undertake weekly on‑call duties as part of the rota.
- A team‑focused approach, valuing collaboration and mutual support.
- Enthusiasm for contributing ideas to help the practice grow, innovate, and continually improve.
