HGV Class 1 Driver – Coventry, West Midlands

ONGOING WORK – IMMEDIATE STARTS – GREAT RATES OF PAY

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, no handball work, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for long-term employment.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Delivery Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Sunday operation
• PM starts between 13:00 – 00:00
• Flexible rotas available
• Long shifts available to maximise earnings

Rates of Pay

• Monday to Friday £17.50ph between 06:00-18:00
• Monday to Friday £18.50ph between 18:00-06:00
• £20.50ph Saturday
• £22.00ph Sunday

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

 • Completing RDC deliveries & collections.
• No handball required
• Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring loads are secure and compliant
• Following delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Minimum twelve months' Class 1 driving experience
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• Good communication skills
• Professional and reliable approach to work

Desirable Experience

 • Previous RDC delivery experience
• Double Deck experience

Training Provided

 • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
