SEN Teaching Assistant
Kingston upon Thames
£515 - £550 per week | Full-Time | Long-Term | Term Time Only

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 4:00pm

A welcoming infant school in Kingston is looking to appoint an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team on a long-term basis. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support young learners with additional needs, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love for learning.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Work within the school's SEN provision and mainstream classrooms.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Support children's communication, social interaction and emotional wellbeing.
  • Follow EHCPs and individual learning plans.
  • Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
About You
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
  • Patient, caring and resilient.
  • Passionate about inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible, reliable and proactive.
