HGV Class 2 Driver

iRecruit4 are currently seeking reliable and experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our clients delivery operation based in Swindon. This role offers consistent Monday to Friday work with long-term opportunities available.

The position involves multi-drop deliveries across the South West, so drivers must be confident with manual handling, load security and customer interaction.

Hours, Pay & Benefits:
  • Monday to Friday, start time 06:00am

Duties for Class 2 Driver:
  • Completing multi-drop deliveries to business customers across Swindon and surrounding areas
  • Delivering a range of products safely and efficiently to customers
  • Driving a Class 2 box vehicle and ensuring all loads are secured correctly
  • Operating a tail lift to assist with safe loading and unloading of goods
  • Loading and unloading deliveries safely, ensuring all items are handled correctly
  • Ensuring goods are delivered on time while providing excellent customer service
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with legal and company standards
  • Completing delivery paperwork and POD documentation accurately
  • Maintaining high standards of professionalism when representing the company
  • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
Requirements for Class 2 Driver:
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 2 years Class 2 driving experience
  • Over 25 years old (insurance purposes)
  • No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, or IN convictions)
  • Experience driving Class 2 vehicles and completing multi-drop deliveries
  • Experience using a tail lift is preferred
  • Comfortable with customer interaction and manual handling
  • Good communication and time management skills
