HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER LOADER – Bristol - Earn £17.57 - £35.54 per hour | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Paid Training | Immediate Starts | No Weekend Working

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader to join our well-established client based in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine long-term opportunities with a respected waste and recycling operation.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Refuse Driver, Recycling Driver, Waste Collection Driver, RCV Driver or Driver Loader.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
• 06:00 – 14:18
• 39-hour working week

Rates of Pay

 • £17.57 per hour
• £35.54 per hour (Sundays and Bank Holidays)
• Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday
• Weekly Pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, your duties will include but not be limited to:

 • Driving Class 2 refuse and recycling vehicles safely and efficiently across Bristol
• Working alongside the loading crew to collect waste and recycling materials
• Loading refuse and recycling materials when required
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting any defects
• Using in-cab technology to complete routes and record collections
• Providing a professional service to members of the public and commercial customers
• Following all road transport legislation, health and safety procedures, and company policies

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual loading duties
• A willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude
• A good understanding of Driver Hours Regulations and safe driving practices

Desirable Experience

 • Previous refuse or recycling collection experience would be advantageous
• Experience operating Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) would be beneficial
• Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience

 • Full paid induction programme
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your employment
