HGV Class 1 Driver -Raunds, Northamptonshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Raunds, Northamptonshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work throughout the year, and genuine opportunities for long-term progression, including the potential for a permanent position.

This role would suit an experienced LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver looking for a stable position with consistent work and excellent earning potential.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Start Times: Between 04:00 and 07:00

Pay Rate:

• £16.75 per hour basic | £21.78 per hour overtime after nine hours

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Depot-to-depot trunking routes
• Trailer swaps
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately

Essential Skills:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A valid GB Category CE driving licence
• A minimum of two years' experience drivng Category CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• A valid CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience
• Experience completing trunking routes and trailer swaps

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting
• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development
