Data Business Analyst – SQL/Enterprise Data Transformation

Remote - UK

£56,000 + Competitive Benefits + Above Market-Rate Bonus (OTE £72,000+)

I’m working with a household name organisation undergoing a large-scale data transformation programme, and they’re looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to join their growing data function.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing the Data BA part of delivering a new customer management system and using SQL to test data ingestion into Data Lakes and Warehouses.
• Partnering with Product Managers to shape and prioritise data backlogs.
• Running workshops and engaging stakeholders to capture business and data requirements.
• Analysing source systems, data models and end-to-end data flows.
• Writing high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Working closely with Data Engineers, Architects and QA throughout delivery.
• Supporting UAT and ensuring solutions meet business needs.
• Contributing to major enterprise data transformation initiatives.

What they’re looking for:

• Strong experience as a Data Business Analyst on data-focused programmes.
• Advanced SQL scripting skills with the ability to interrogate and understand complex datasets.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse projects and complex data analysis.
• Experience analysing data models, source systems and data flows.
• Agile experience including backlog management and user story creation.
• Knowledge of data migration, governance, data quality or enterprise data platforms is highly desirable.
