HGV Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Leeds. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts:Monday to Friday

Hours: 09:00am start

Pay Rate: £19.08 per hour PAYE

Location: Leeds, LS27

Job Type: Temp to Perm

The role:

6 - 8 bulk collections

. Minimal loading and unloading required

Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely Collections / deliveries.

. Minimal loading / unloading

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups..

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Have at least 12 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Excellent communication skills.
