HGV Recovery Driver - Days Class 1 or Class 2 Licence Required
Location: Cranham, near Upminster, Essex
Pay: £156.00-£180.00 per shift
Upskill Opportunity: training offered to become Heavy Recovery Driver in the future. Rate increases to £228.00 per shift once qualified
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and respected roadside assistance and vehicle recovery company with a busy depot based in Cranham, near Upminster, Essex.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit two Day Recovery Drivers to join their professional team.
Whether you're an experienced recovery driver or an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driver looking for a new challenge, full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to learn specialist recovery skills while increasing your earning potential.
What You'll Be Doing Attending roadside breakdowns and vehicle recovery call-outs.
Recovering cars, vans and light commercial vehicles safely and professionally.
Providing excellent customer service to motorists in need.
Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring equipment is maintained.
Working closely with the operations team to respond efficiently to jobs.
What We're Looking For Full UK Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
A professional and customer-focused attitude.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Previous recovery experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is provided.
Willingness to learn specialist recovery techniques and develop new skills.
What's on Offer £156.00-£180.00 per day, depending on experience and licence.
Opportunity to increase earnings to £228.00 per shift by training in heavy recovery.
Full training provided for drivers new to the recovery industry.
Fixed 4 on 2 off shift pattern, offering a great work-life balance.
Day Shifts; 11-12 hours per shift
Self-employed position with regular, ongoing work. This is not a zero-hours arrangement.
