• Primary Locations: E1 (East London)

\n

• Pay:£19.00 £25.00 per hour (Starting rate based on experience) + overtime potential.

\n

• Terms: Full-time, Permanent, or Contract/Self-Employed.

The Role

\n

As a HIAB Driver for Angel Recovery, you will handle specialized lifting and transport tasks. This role requires a high level of technical skill, ensuring that vehicles, equipment, are moved safely and efficiently using truck-mounted cranes.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Operate HGV HIABsafely, performing complex lifts in various environments.

\n

• Secure specialized loads (including vehicles and equipment) using appropriate chains, slings, and straps in compliance with safety regulations.

\n

• Conduct site assessments before lifting to ensure ground stability and overhead clearance.

\n

• Provide excellent customer service, acting as a professional representative of the company on-site.

\n

• Perform daily vehicle and crane checks, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.

\n

• Maintain accurate digital/paper logs and completion of delivery/recovery reports.

\n\n

About You

\n

We are looking for operators who are methodical, safety-oriented, and able to remain calm during technical maneuvers.

\n

Essential Requirements:

\n

\n
• HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) License (held for a minimum of 1 year).

\n

• Valid HIAB Certificate (e.g., ALLMI, CPCS, or equivalent).

\n

• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

\n

• Willingness to work in all weather conditions with flexible shift patterns.

\n\n

Desirable Skills:

• Previous experience in vehicle recovery..

\n\n
