About The RoleTEP is seeking a highly motivated individual, either recently graduated or with some industry experience in landscape and estates management; health and safety management; contract and grounds maintenance experience; and property and facilities management, to join the TEP Land Management team in the Warrington or Gateshead office.We offer flexible working, mentoring, and the chance to develop your career within a supportive, and growing multidisciplinary team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our primary client (Homes England) property portfolios are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
What Youll Be DoingOur Land Management Team play a critical role in TEPs overall delivery of the Homes England Non-Commercial Property Management Framework.
- Undertake site inspections across a diverse portfolio of Homes England landholdings, including greenfield, woodland, and vacant properties;
- Identify, assess and record hazards, encroachments, fly-tipping, vandalism and other estate management issues;
- Identify, monitor and recommend treatment for invasive non-native species;
- Capture site data and maintain accurate records using TEPs bespoke estate management software;
- Monitor the condition of site assets, including fencing, gates and signage, and recommend necessary actions;
- Procure, coordinate and monitor maintenance and remedial works arising from site inspections;
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders which include clients, contractors, adjacent landowners.
- Support the management of contractors and help ensure works are delivered safely and to the required standards; and
- Potential opportunities to contribute to land management plans and identify opportunities on-site.
What We Are Looking For
A degree in a Landscape or Environmental field is preferred, but experience will be considered;
- An understanding of landscape management through studies or experience.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including lone working when required.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy in MS Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience using GIS and GIS Databases are desirable. Training in this area will be provided.
