Location: Rural Dorset, near the Dorset/Wiltshire border
Hours: MondayFriday, 9.00am5.00pm (40 hours per week)
Flexibility: Occasional flexibility required
Driving: Full UK driving licence and own reliable car essential

The Role

A warm, informal family is seeking an experienced, reliable and discreet Housekeeper to join their household in rural Dorset, close to the Dorset/Wiltshire border.

This is a varied role combining general housekeeping with occasional light childcare and family support. The family has two school-aged children who are at school during the day.

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, ironing and organisation.
• Preparing simple family meals when required.
• Occasional school pickups and light childcare.
• Supporting the children's after-school routine when needed.
• Helping to ensure the household runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Using initiative and maintaining high standards throughout the home.

Requirements

• Minimum 2years' private housekeeping experience.
• Full UK driving licence and own reliable car.
• Strong spoken English and good communication skills.
• Flexible, approachable and able to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards.
• Discreet, trustworthy, responsible and reliable.
• Excellent written references.
• DBS Required

Location

Ideally suited to candidates based around Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Tisbury or the surrounding areas.

This would suit an experienced Housekeeper looking for a long-term position within a friendly, informal household. The family values reliability, discretion and care and is looking for someone who can become a trusted part of their daily routine.
