Junior Sheet Metal Fabricators

\n

Hours: Mon-Wed 07:00-17:30 & Thurs 07:00-16:30 (full-time hours over 4 days) - every Friday off

\n

We're recruiting reliable, Junior Sheet Metal Fabricators to join this large experienced production team on a permanent basis. You'll operate fabrication machinery and produce high precision sheet metal components and subassemblies, working from engineering drawings and to a defined schedule.

\n \nDuties include:\n \n

\n
• Setting up and operating fabrication machines including guillotines, bandsaws and presses

\n

• Producing and assembling detailed parts for assemblies/welded assemblies

\n

• Laying out, measuring and marking materials from drawings/templates using hand tools and calculators

\n

• Using engineering measuring equipment to confirm dimensions meet drawing requirements

\n

• Reading and following engineering drawings/lofts, procedures and work instructions

\n

• Attending and participating in daily stand-up meetings

\n

• Working to all health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements

\n

• Supporting workplace organisation/continuous improvement

\n

• Maintaining a tidy, safe working environment

\n

• Completing other duties within your capabilities as required

\n\n \nEssential experience:\n \n

\n
• Experience operating fabrication machinery (e.g. Guillotine/bandsaw/press)

\n

• Able to work in a team to deliver parts on time

\n

• Strong attention to detail, reliability and a quality-focused approach

\n\n
