People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Bellshill.

\n

Earn £14.41 per hour Days | £16.50 per hour Nights | 4 On 4 Off | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work | Temp to Perm Opportunities | Training Provided

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, Trunk Driver, Trunking Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver or Class 1 Driver.

Shifts

\n

  • 4 On 4 Off
\n   • Day Shifts – Start Times Between 06:00 – 10:00
\n   • 12-Hour Shifts

\n

Rates of Pay

\n

Days

\n

  • £14.41 per hour

Nights

\n

  • £16.50 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

\n

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:

\n

  • Completing depot-to-depot trunking, trailer swaps and deliveries to shops and depots
\n   • Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
\n   • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before transport
\n   • Adhering to road traffic legislation, company procedures and delivery schedules
\n   • Completing all relevant delivery paperwork accurately
\n   • Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
\n   • Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams

\n

Essential Skills

\n

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

\n

  • A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
\n   • A valid UK CPC Qualification Card
\n   • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
\n   • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
\n   • Good spoken and written English
\n   • A reliable, professional and punctual approach to work

\n

Desirable Experience

\n

  • Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience

\n

Training Provided

\n

  • Driver assessment required prior to starting
\n   • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
