Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to be trained as a Vacuum Excavator Operator to begin work for a well-established civil engineering company based in Reading, with projects across the South East, London, Midlands and nationwide.

About the role:\n

Working Hours Monday to Friday (Regular overtime and weekend work available)

\n

Pay Rate From £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

\n

Brief Role Description We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver who is eager to develop new skills by training as a Vacuum Excavator Operator. You will work with a modern fleet of specialist vacuum excavation vehicles, supporting major civil engineering, utility, rail, airport and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

\n

Duties will include:

\n

\n
• Operating vacuum excavators safely and efficiently on customer sites

\n

• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment inspections

\n

• Completing digital job reports and site paperwork

\n

• Working closely with site teams and second operatives

\n

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism

\n

• Representing the company positively on-site

\n

• Following all health and safety procedures

\n

• Travelling to projects across the UK as required

\n\n

About You:\n

• High work ethic & team player

• Punctual & reliable

\n

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (essential)

\n

• Good understanding of health & safety

\n

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

\n

• Excellent communication skills

\n

• Previous vacuum excavation experience is beneficial but not essential

\n

• CSCS, CPCS or NRSWA cards are advantageous

\n

• Able to commute to Reading (RG7 4PW)
