HGV Class 1 Driver Fresh Produce Distribution | Up to £22.41 Per Hour

Description

Millison Chase Limited is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing fresh produce distribution work.

The role involves collecting and delivering fresh produce between farms, packing facilities, RDCs, CDCs and distribution hubs using refrigerated articulated vehicles.

Expect 15 drops or collections per shift, mainly bay work with pallet trucks and minimal handball. Typical shifts are 1012 hours, with days and nights available.

Pay & Progression

• Days: £17.00 per hour
• Nights: £18.00 per hour
• Saturday: £19.00 per hour
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £20.00 per hour
• Equivalent to £19.05£22.41 per hour when accrued holiday pay is factored in
• Weekly PAYE pay
• Ongoing work throughout the year

Driver Sign-On Bonus

• £100 bonus when you register and complete your first full month of work

Responsibilities

• Complete 15 collections or deliveries per shift
• Collect fresh produce from farms and growers
• Deliver to RDCs, CDCs and distribution hubs
• Operate refrigerated Class 1 vehicles
• Maintain temperature-controlled loads
• Complete vehicle and trailer checks
• Complete delivery paperwork
• Follow Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• 12 months' Class 1 experience preferred
• Refrigerated or fresh produce experience advantageous
• Reliable and professional
• Right to work in the UK
• We do not sponsor work visas
