HGV Shunter Driver 4 On 4 Off

Location: Chesterfield (S44)
Pay: Up to £22.95 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off
Job Type: 12 Week Temp to Perm Opportunity

365 People are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Shunter Drivers to join our client on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and experienced HGV drivers looking for regular ongoing work, a consistent shift pattern and competitive rates of pay.

The Role

As an HGV Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Moving HGV vehicles and trailers safely around the site
• Positioning trailers correctly for loading and unloading
• Carrying out yard movements as required
• Completing daily vehicle checks
• Working closely with the transport and warehouse teams
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Ensuring all movements are carried out safely and efficiently

Pay Rates

PAYE

• Monday to Friday: £16.50 per hour excluding holiday pay / £17.93 including holiday pay
• Saturday: £17.48 per hour excluding holiday pay / £19.59 including holiday pay
• Sunday: £18.98 per hour excluding holiday pay / £21.17 including holiday pay

LTD Company Drivers

• Monday to Friday: £20.95 per hour
• Saturday: £21.95 per hour
• Sunday: £22.95 per hour

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Previous HGV shunting or yard experience is preferred
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and yard procedures
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Pattern

• 4 days on / 4 days off
• Regular ongoing work
• Full training and site induction provided where required
• AM & PM start times available
