Job description
Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is looking to recruit a part time Women’s First Team Goalkeeping Coach to support ongoing operations at Clayton Wood Training Ground.
The successful applicant would have responsibility for leading the Women Teams’ Goalkeepers, and supporting the Girls’ Goalkeeping Coach with the implementation of the goalkeeping curriculum from age groups U10s-16s.
From planning coaching sessions within the coaching development programme, through to the delivery, monitoring and analysing performances, this is a comprehensive role perfect for an individual with a commitment to developing players to the best of their abilities.
The coaching department plays a key role in supporting the development of players at the Club. This is a fantastic opportunity to coach and develop players in an elite environment to build on the recent success of both the Women’s First Team and the Girls’ Academy.
The role will require the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team, to provide the best programme for players to within both disciplines.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to cover evening and weekend work as required. The position will be offered on a part time basis.
Main Responsibilities
- Leading the Women’s First Team Goalkeeping Programme.
- Planning and delivering high quality, age appropriate goalkeeping sessions.
- Supporting the implementation of the Girls’ Academy goalkeeping curriculum.
- Monitoring and analysing goalkeeper performance.
- Collaborating within an MDT team to provide a holistic support programme, ensuring the best possible environment for player progression and success.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Football background either as a player or coach and a minimum of the UEFA B Licence.
- Experience of coaching in Women/Girls Football or Academy Football.
- Ability to support in the implementation of a players development plan, assist in recording evidence and provide reports and feedback to players and colleagues.
- Ability to plan, work independently and meet deadlines.
- A knowledge of the requirements of elite football.
