Product Designer

Oskar is looking for a Product Designer

Job description

Job description: Product & marketing designer

Reports to: Chief product officer

Location: Remote

Type: Freelance, part-time (3 days/week initially, with potential to grow to full-time)

The role

We're looking for a mid-level designer who can move comfortably between two connected disciplines: product design and marketing content. You'll help implement and evolve our design system across the MVP, while also producing the graphics, social content and video edits that bring Oskar's brand to life across our marketing channels.

This is a hands-on, generalist role suited to someone who enjoys variety and wants their work to have visible impact on both the product experience and how people discover Oskar.

Key responsibilitiesUI/UX design (product)

  • Implement and maintain our design system across the platform
  • Improve UI quality and consistency across the existing MVP
  • Design new screens and flows in collaboration with product and engineering
  • Contribute to usability improvements based on user feedback and testing
  • Maintain design files and documentation so patterns stay consistent as the product grows

Marketing design

  • Produce graphics for social media, campaigns and agent-facing materials
  • Compile and edit video content, including reels and short-form social video
  • Support the marketing team with visual assets for performance and content campaigns
  • Provide updates to web page design, as and when needed
  • Help maintain brand consistency across all consumer-facing touchpoints

About you

  • 2–4 years' experience in a design role, ideally spanning both product/UI and marketing/content design
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma for UI design and design systems
  • Confident with video editing tools (e.g. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Final Cut) for short-form content
  • A good eye for brand consistency across very different formats — from product interfaces to Instagram reels
  • Comfortable working independently and prioritising across competing demands
  • Bonus: interest in property, proptech or consumer platforms

Why join Oskar

You'll be one of the first dedicated design hires at a fast-moving startup, with real ownership over both how the product looks and feels, and how it's presented to the world. You'll work closely with the CPO and the wider product, engineering and marketing teams as we scale from MVP to national coverage.

Role Description As a Product Designer at Oskar, you will work full time in a hybrid capacity based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility to work from home. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive, secure product experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting user research, ideating and validating design concepts, creating user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interfaces, and refining interaction patterns across the platform. You will participate in design reviews, run usability tests, and iterate based on feedback and data to ensure the product remains simple, effective, and aligned with agent workflows. You will also contribute to design guidelines and help maintain a consistent visual language across all product touchpoints.

Qualifications

  • Strong Product Design and Design Thinking skills, with experience shaping end-to-end experiences for digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in User Research and UX Research methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Solid Visual Design capabilities, including layout, typography, color, and interaction design for web and mobile interfaces.
  • Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering.
  • Comfort using modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar).
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and advocate for user needs using data and research insights.
  • Background working on B2B or SaaS products is beneficial; experience in proptech or secure data platforms is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
