Location: Exeter University International Study Centre

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Band A

Contract type: Zero Hours

Hours (flexible, approved work only):
  • Content creation: up to 8 hours per video project
  • Conversion calls: up to 4 hours per week (approx. 30 minutes per call)

The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic Chinese students to join us as Student Ambassadors.

In this role, you will share your personal experience of studying abroad through creative content and one-to-one conversations with prospective students. You will play a key role in helping future students make confident decisions, while also developing valuable professional, creative, and communication skills.

How It Works
Content Creation
  • Create engaging video content for INTO's global social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WeChat, Douyin, Xiaohongshu)
  • Plan and film short-form videos (e.g. "day in the life") using your phone or basic equipment
  • Edit content using tools such as Jianying/CapCut or Canva
  • Collaborate with INTO's video and marketing teams to refine content
  • Showcase authentic campus life and trends relevant to Chinese students
  • Manage your own schedule while working independently and with teams

Peer-to-Peer Support
  • Act as a trusted mentor for Chinese offer holders
  • Conduct one-to-one video or voice calls with prospective students
  • Share honest insights about academic life, campus experience, and culture
  • Answer questions to support confident decision-making
  • Adhere to weekly hour limits and maintain communication with the regional team in China

Requirements

We are seeking students from Mainland China who are:
  • Currently enrolled in a pathway programme or have progressed to university
  • Outgoing, approachable, and enthusiastic about sharing their experience
  • Reliable, professional, and able to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
