FF&E Designer (Luxury Residential)

The Crowd is looking for a FF&E Designer (Luxury Residential)

Job description

About The Role:

The Crowd is excited to be partnered with an internationally renowned and highly sought-after hospitality design studio. Due to an expanding portfolio, the studio is now establishing a new prime residential arm of the business to support a strong pipeline of exciting projects. As part of this next chapter, they are looking for a well-rounded and accomplished FF&E Designer to join their growing London team.

Internationally acclaimed for their exceptional work across high-end hospitality, the studio has built a strong reputation for delivering sophisticated, highly considered, and bespoke interiors with a distinctive design language. With an impressive portfolio of luxury projects and a growing international presence, this is a rare opportunity to join a globally recognised studio as it continues to establish itself within the prime residential market in London and the wider UK.

The new residential arm will focus on prime residential projects, creating highly bespoke, design-led homes that combine architectural clarity, refined materiality, and an exceptional level of detail. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-profile residential projects, with responsibility across FF&E from concept and specification through to procurement and installation.

The ideal candidate will have strong FF&E experience within the high-end residential sector, with an excellent eye for detail, materials, and craftsmanship. You will be confident working autonomously while collaborating closely with designers, architects, suppliers, and senior stakeholders, and will thrive in a creative and highly collaborative environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the studio at a pivotal moment in its London expansion, with the chance to help shape the creative direction, processes, and identity of its new residential division. Alongside the opportunity to elevate your career within one of the most sought-after studios in the industry, the studio places a strong emphasis on culture, collaboration, and wellbeing, offering a highly supportive environment and excellent benefits, including flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of FF&E across luxury residential projects
  • Bring together furniture, fabrics, lighting, finishes and decorative elements to create considered and cohesive schemes
  • Manage the practical side of FF&E, including budgets, specifications, purchasing and delivery schedules
  • Research new products, materials and suppliers, while drawing on an established network of industry contacts
  • Develop clear visual presentations and material selections to communicate design ideas
  • Work alongside the wider design team and external consultants to coordinate FF&E throughout the project
  • Visit sites throughout the installation process, ensuring the finished scheme reflects the original design intent
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across suppliers, makers, dealers and other industry contacts

Key Skills / Requirements:

  • 8+ years’ experience within interior design and a strong FF&E background
  • A portfolio demonstrating high-end residential interiors
  • Well-connected within the supplier, maker and sourcing market
  • Strong understanding of furniture, fabrics and finishes
  • A good eye for detail, proportion, quality and craftsmanship
  • Comfortable working across both creative and technical aspects of FF&E
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup is preferable
  • Highly organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with both internal teams and external partners
  • A collaborative and hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently when required
