AI Director

Between £110,849 and £136,713 Per Month

Job description

Our client is putting AI to work across the entire enterprise, and they need a hands-on builder to make it happen. This role sits at the center of that transformation, turning strategy into real, working AI solutions that solve problems for teams across the business. If you want to build agents and automations that people actually use every day, not just talk about AI strategy, this is the seat.

C2C is not an option with this job opening, and all applicants must be able to work for any U.S. Employer without sponsorship. Sponsorship is not provided and will not be required in the future.

Benefits & Extras

  • Real ownership over the tools and agents you build, from design through production
  • Freedom to evaluate, pilot, and bring in new AI tools and models
  • 7% 401(k) match
  • Employer-paid life insurance
  • Health coverage options including HSA and PPO plans

Compensation

$150,000–$185,000

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and support generative and agentic AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform.
  • Diagnose and resolve agent failures, workflow breakdowns, integration errors, and performance issues.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and benchmark emerging AI tools and models.
  • Use Python for data preparation, automation, and rapid proof-of-concept work.
  • Manage promotion of solutions through Development, UAT, and Production, following DevOps best practices.
  • Partner with Data, IT, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to turn business needs into working solutions.
  • Identify and manage external experts, vendors, and delivery partners to get the most value out of each engagement.

What You’ll Need to be Considered

  • Hands-on builder experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, or custom AI agent development, not just AI strategy or leadership.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and unstructured-to-structured data tools like OCR or Document Intelligence.
  • Experience with Snowflake or a similar data platform.
  • DevOps experience managing Dev-UAT-Prod release pipelines.
  • Vendor management experience with a focus on cost-to-value decisions.
