- Produce task-based preventive maintenance risk assessments for planned maintenance activities on Safety Critical Equipment.
- Develop and implement a structured risk assessment process for corrective maintenance work.
- Review maintenance tasks to ensure hazards, controls, isolations, permits and competency requirements are clearly defined.
- Update and improve CMMS master data, including asset records, preventive maintenance routines, job plans, Safety Critical Equipment information and maintenance history.
- Support effective management of Safety Critical Equipment governance through improved data quality, inspection visibility and maintenance compliance.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, H&SE and contractors to ensure work is planned, risk assessed and executed safely.
- Identify and implement practical improvements to maintenance processes, reliability, compliance and asset integrity.
- Monitor progress against agreed improvement actions and report risks, issues and opportunities to the Line Manager.
- Promote safe working practices and support compliance with COMAH requirements, permit-to-work systems and site maintenance standards.
- Work towards agreed objectives and timescales, ensuring deliverables are achieved and improvements remain on track.
About You:
- You will have a strong commitment to Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify potential issues and coordinate effective solutions before they become problems.
- A continuous improvement approach, always seeking opportunities to strengthen maintenance performance and deliver business benefit.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to maintenance planning and compliance activities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple functions.
- Comfortable working with maintenance management systems and IT tools.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deliver within agreed timeframes.
- A good understanding of company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Engineering qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting maintenance improvement activities within COMAH, high-hazard, process, chemical, energy or manufacturing environments.
- Strong working knowledge of planned, corrective and reactive maintenance processes.
- Hands-on experience using CMMS systems to improve asset data, job plans, maintenance history and compliance reporting.
- Practical understanding of risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, isolation standards and Safety Critical Equipment requirements.
- Experience of improving maintenance compliance, reliability and asset integrity within a manufacturing or process environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and operational stakeholders.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent safety qualification would be advantageous.
