Joining ourDepot Management Teamthe DGM Designate will be reporting to the Head of Depot Operations, the purpose of this role is to play an influential and pivotal role in the leadership and development of the depot team. The role is responsible for driving the best operational performance for the depot by working with key partners in Hubs, Field, and support functions to ensure the key performance indicators are achieved.
OurDesignate Depot General Managerrole is also designed to be fully flexible across the area to support the area on a day to day basis to include holiday and absence cover forDGM'sso it is essential you have strong leadership skills and can make decisions on their behalf. Also resolution of areas of concern where you will provide strong plans of improvement and manage action plans end to end.

- Deliver the budget, cost and service metrics set for the depot by the Area Manager by monitoring and challenging KPIs implemented by the operational management teams.
- Support the Area in delivering strategic improvements and deliverables for the growth of the business
- Deputise for the DGM's when they are not available and be the point of contact and have accountability for their depot during that time.
- Work across all shifts, as well as team structures
- Review depot performance through data and trends that deliver solutions for Depot management to action. Follow up, challenge and continuously improve through coaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrate strong aspirational visible leadership qualities to lead the transport and harmonise, challenge, and provide clear direction and strength in leadership. Inspirational and visionary, but ultimate calm and thoughtful in execution.

- CPC National Certificate is desirable
- Full driving licence is required.
- IOSH Qualified
- Demonstrate ability to assess operational performance and ability, people and process
- Ability to be agile and act with pace, to both identify and execute with a determination to deliver and succeed under pressure and resistance.
- Advanced in understanding of Management Information and Excel spreadsheets. Good Ability with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
