Emerging Technology Theme Lead

£575 - £730 per day (Inside IR35)

12-Month Contract

Central London | 5 Days Onsite

We're looking for an experienced Emerging Technology Theme Lead to help shape future technology priorities within a highly complex and innovation-driven environment.

This is a rare opportunity to influence how emerging technologies are identified, evaluated, and developed into future capabilities. Working at the intersection of strategy, science, technology, and stakeholder engagement, you'll help guide decisions that have long-term impact across a diverse portfolio of cutting-edge initiatives.

The Role

You'll lead the development of technology strategy for a key emerging technology theme, combining technical insight, market awareness, and stakeholder engagement to identify future opportunities and inform investment decisions.

Acting as a trusted voice across programmes, suppliers, academia, and government stakeholders, you'll provide oversight to technology initiatives, assess new opportunities, commission strategic insight, and ensure emerging capabilities are aligned to broader objectives.

This role requires someone who can operate across multiple technology areas while bringing deep expertise and credibility within a specific scientific, engineering, or technology discipline.

About You

You will have a genuine passion for emerging technologies and a strong technical background, whether in science, engineering, technology, computing, or a related field.

You'll be comfortable evaluating new ideas and technologies, translating complex technical concepts into strategic recommendations, and influencing senior stakeholders across a broad network of partners and decision-makers.
