Job description
We're working with a highly regarded national law firm looking to recruit a Paralegal to join its established Housing Management & Property Litigation team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop their career within housing management and property litigation, supporting solicitors and building their own caseload. The team acts for a broad range of Registered Providers, private landlords and other organisations across England & Wales, providing exposure to a varied and high-quality caseload.
You'll be supporting matters including:
- Possession proceedings relating to rent arrears, tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour and unauthorised occupiers
- Injunction proceedings and disrepair claims
- Claims against leaseholders, including forfeiture
- Drafting claim forms, pleadings and witness statements
- Preparing trial bundles, liaising with the County Court and attending hearings
You'll work alongside experienced solicitors within one of the largest Housing Management & Property Litigation teams in England & Wales, gaining valuable exposure to a broad range of housing matters while developing your technical, advocacy and client-facing skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum 2:2 degree or equivalent in Law or a relevant subject.
- Previous experience in Housing Management or Property Litigation is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong legal research, drafting and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive, confident and client-focused, with the ability to manage a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.
