SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – WOLVERHAMPTON | IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

Are you a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Learning Support Assistant or Behaviour Support professional passionate about helping children with additional needs thrive?

We're looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Wolverhampton.

What you'll be doing:

✅ Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND

✅ Support pupils with Autism (ASC/ASD), ADHD, SEMH and speech & language needs

✅ Help implement EHCPs and IEPs

✅ Adapt classroom activities to individual learning needs

✅ Support positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence

✅ Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers/SENCO

✅ Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes, trips and activities

✅ Provide personal care support where required

✅ Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment

✅ Work closely with teachers, parents and external professionals

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

⭐ SEN/SEND school experience

⭐ Teaching Assistant or Learning Support experience

⭐ Autism / ADHD / SEMH experience

⭐ 1:1 pupil support experience

⭐ Behaviour management experience

⭐ EHCP / IEP experience

⭐ Strong safeguarding awareness

Previous experience supporting children with SEN/SEND is highly desirable.

Safeguarding: The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references and all required pre-employment checks in line with KCSIE guidance.
