Legal Counsel – UK & Ireland

A rare opportunity to join a highly regarded legal function as Legal Counsel, working alongside an outstanding General Counsel and Head of Legal who have built a team known for the quality of both its lawyers and its work. You will be part of a close-knit group of experienced counsel, with the opportunity to learn from people who bring excellent technical expertise, strong commercial instincts and significant private practice and in-house experience. The work is varied and intellectually engaging, covering sophisticated commercial contracts, complex negotiations and bespoke arrangements where you will often be creating solutions rather than working from a standard template. You will have meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders and be trusted with matters that have a genuine impact on the business.

This is a role for someone who wants to continue developing and build a broad, sophisticated in-house practice. Alongside a strong core of commercial contracting, you will have the opportunity to support strategic initiatives, new products and partnerships and wider corporate and regulatory matters. A private practice training background followed by in-house experience would be ideal, providing both strong technical foundations and commercial understanding, although we would absolutely consider exceptional lawyers who have built their careers entirely in-house. Above all, we are looking for someone with intellectual curiosity, sound judgement and a genuinely commercial approach who wants to work alongside excellent lawyers and be challenged by the quality and variety of the work.
