Terracotta Property is a dynamic, independent property consultancy made up of Chartered Surveyors, with a strong reputation across the London property market. Established in 2019, they offer a personal, hands-on approach and work across valuation, building surveying, project management and party wall matters.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Valuation Surveyor to undertake a broad range of valuation instructions across North London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and wants greater exposure to clients, senior decision-makers and a varied valuation workload.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, technically robust valuation advice while developing strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake property valuations in accordance with RICS and Red Book standards.
- Prepare detailed valuation reports and supporting documentation.
- Inspect a range of residential and commercial properties.
- Undertake market research and comparable evidence analysis.
- Provide valuation advice to clients, lenders and other stakeholders.
- Manage valuation instructions from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work closely with colleagues and senior management on valuation instructions.
- Identify opportunities to develop new and existing client relationships.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the London property market and relevant market trends.
- Ensure all work is delivered to a high professional and technical standard.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of Terracotta Property's valuation service.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Relevant experience within property valuation.
- MRICS (with minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience.)
- Experience producing Red Book-compliant valuations.
- Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and client-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple instructions and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
- The confidence to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
