Terracotta Property is a dynamic, independent property consultancy made up of Chartered Surveyors, with a strong reputation across the London property market. Established in 2019, they offer a personal, hands-on approach and work across valuation, building surveying, project management and party wall matters.


The Role


We are looking for an experienced Valuation Surveyor to undertake a broad range of valuation instructions across North London.


This is an excellent opportunity for a surveyor who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and wants greater exposure to clients, senior decision-makers and a varied valuation workload.


You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, technically robust valuation advice while developing strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake property valuations in accordance with RICS and Red Book standards.
  • Prepare detailed valuation reports and supporting documentation.
  • Inspect a range of residential and commercial properties.
  • Undertake market research and comparable evidence analysis.
  • Provide valuation advice to clients, lenders and other stakeholders.
  • Manage valuation instructions from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Work closely with colleagues and senior management on valuation instructions.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new and existing client relationships.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the London property market and relevant market trends.
  • Ensure all work is delivered to a high professional and technical standard.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of Terracotta Property's valuation service.


About You


We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant experience within property valuation.
  • MRICS (with minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience.)
  • Experience producing Red Book-compliant valuations.
  • Excellent report-writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and client-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple instructions and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
  • The confidence to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
