Property Litigation Solicitor/Associate

Oculus Legal Group is looking for a Property Litigation Solicitor/Associate

Job description

Property Litigation Solicitor/Associate

Location: Norfolk

Firm: Regional Firm

Working arrangements: Hybrid (3 days from home)

Salary: £45,000-£60,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Litigation Solicitor to join a well-established and growing regional law firm with a long-standing presence across Norfolk.

The firm has built a strong reputation across the region and now operates from six offices with over 100 staff. With continued growth and expansion into new locations, this is an exciting time to join the business, particularly within its established and expanding Disputes team.

The Role

The Litigation team is already made up of 7+ members and continues to go from strength to strength, with increasing levels of work creating the need for an additional solicitor.

You will have the opportunity to work across a varied property disputes caseload, advising both individuals and businesses on matters including:

  • Land and property disputes
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Boundary and ownership disputes
  • Lease and covenant disputes
  • Possession and eviction matters
  • Easements, rights of way and restrictive covenants
  • Property-related contractual disputes
  • Development and construction-related disputes

The firm is particularly open-minded about where you can develop your expertise. This is a genuine opportunity to carve out your own niche within the team, develop a specialism that aligns with your interests and experience, and play a key role in the continued growth of the department.

The Firm

This is a firm where growth is creating genuine opportunities rather than simply increasing headcount.

You will be joining an established team with strong levels of work, while still having plenty of scope to make your mark. The structure allows individuals to develop their own client base and areas of expertise, with clear progression criteria and support available to help you achieve your longer-term career ambitions.

The culture is one of trust, autonomy and support. You will be trusted to manage your own workload and clients, while having experienced colleagues around you when you need support. Work-life balance is genuinely valued rather than simply advertised, with flexibility built around the needs of both clients and the individual.

Flexible Working

The firm is open to discussing office location, depending on where you are based, and offers a strong level of flexibility once you are established in the role.

Following your settling-in period, there is the opportunity to work up to three days from home per week. The approach is not based around rigid attendance requirements, but rather ensuring the right balance between being available to clients, supporting colleagues, attending meetings and having the flexibility to work effectively from home when appropriate.

Progression & Benefits

  • Clear progression framework
  • Regular salary reviews
  • Discretionary performance-related bonus (10%)
  • 33 days' annual leave including bank holidays
  • Birthday leave
  • Employer pension contribution
  • Healthcare and wellbeing support
  • Paid volunteering day
  • Parking
  • Professional training and development
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Employee referral scheme
  • Regular staff events and social activities

The Opportunity

This would suit a Property Litigation Solicitor who is looking for more than simply another caseload.

If you are keen to build your profile, develop a particular area of expertise, take ownership of your work and play a meaningful role in the growth of a team, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a firm at an exciting stage of its development.
