Payroll Associate (Part Time/Full Time - Accountancy Practice)Location: Bath (on street parking available)Part-time (approx. 24 hours per week) or Full-time consideredSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTEAn established accountancy practice based in Bath is seeking an experienced Payroll Associate to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with previous accountancy practice experience who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio and delivering a high-quality service.The RoleYou will be responsible for processing and managing payrolls for a diverse range of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent customer service throughout.Key responsibilities include:Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrollsSubmitting RTI returns and ensuring HMRC complianceManaging SSP, SMP and other statutory paymentsAdministering workplace pensions and auto-enrolmentHandling payroll queries from clientsMaintaining payroll records and reportsManaging payroll deadlines and ensuring timely deliveryFor candidates seeking a full-time position, there may also be opportunities to support bookkeeping, accounts and wider practice administration duties.About YouTo be considered, you will have:Previous payroll experience gained within a UK accountancy practiceStrong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, RTI and payroll legislationExperience with pensions and auto-enrolmentExcellent organisational and communication skillsHigh levels of accuracy and attention to detailConfidence using payroll software and Microsoft Office - Experience with IRIS Staffology, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or CIS reporting would be advantageous.What's on Offer?Flexible part-time or full-time opportunitiesAnnual bonus schemeSupportive and friendly working environmentLong-term career prospectsCompany social eventsHybrid working available after a successful probation periodOn-street parking availablePlease note that previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice is essential for this role.If this sounds like a role for you please apply online ASAP.
