Customer Service Advisor

Salary: £13.45 per hour, increasing to £13.90 per hour after 6 months
Location: Capgemini, Inverness
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 7am - 6pm


Manpower has a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our client, Capgemini, as a Customer Service Advisor.

We are looking for individuals with proven customer service experience, ideally gained within a contact centre, call centre, helpdesk, or fast-paced customer support environment. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering outstanding service while providing first-line IT support. Full training will be provided, so you don't need extensive IT experience to succeed.

What you'll do

  • Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email, and web chat
  • Deliver a professional and positive customer experience on every interaction
  • Log all customer contacts accurately using the appropriate call logging software
  • Resolve customer issues where possible at first point of contact
  • Escalate or assign requests to relevant support teams when required
  • Process Back Office requests and ensure timely completion
  • Provide customers with updates on the progress of their requests or incidents
  • Advise customers and support teams on known issues and available workarounds
  • Work towards individual and team performance targets while maintaining high service standards

What you'll bring

  • Previous customer service experience within a contact centre, call centre, customer support, helpdesk, or similar high-volume environment is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Confidence handling a high volume of customer enquiries in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes
  • IT knowledge is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
