Role Overview
We're hiring a Principal AI Architect to design and architect next-generation AI solutions that transform how enterprises plan and make decisions. You'll lead the architecture for GenAI and Agentic AI systems at Anaplan, working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI capabilities and enterprise business planning workflows.
Your Impact
- Design and architect GenAI and conversational AI solutions that integrate seamlessly with Anaplan's planning platform, enabling natural language interaction and manipulation of complex dimensions, hierarchies, and business planning models.
- Develop architecture patterns and technical specifications for agentic systems and agent-to-agent (A2A) communication frameworks, allowing autonomous planning agents to collaborate, reason, and execute multi-step workflows.
- Design prompt engineering frameworks and best practices that optimise LLM performance for time-series forecasting, scenario planning, and financial modelling use cases.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define API contracts, data models, and integration patterns for AI-powered features.
- Evaluate and recommend AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and models that align with enterprise requirements for security, scalability, and reliability.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide hands-on technical mentorship to engineering teams implementing production AI solutions.
- Partner with data science teams to translate complex forecasting models and machine learning algorithms into production-ready, scalable architectures.
- Design robust observability and evaluation frameworks for GenAI systems, including system guardrails, continuous monitoring, and optimisation mechanisms.
Your Skills
- Experienced background in software architecture, highlighted by a dedicated and deep focus on designing, scaling, and productionising complex AI/ML systems.
- Deep expertise in LLM architecture, prompt engineering, and GenAI application design, paired with a strong understanding of multi-agent systems and autonomous decision-making frameworks.
- Highly proficient in Python programming with hands-on experience using modern AI/ML tooling (such as PyTorch or TensorFlow) and enterprise frameworks (such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or Haystack).
- A proven track record of designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures to build and ship production-ready, enterprise-grade AI solutions at scale.
- Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to translate complex technical architectures and AI concepts into clear insights for diverse engineering and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent communication standards
- Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, and semantic search systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services
- Experience in SaaS or enterprise software companies
