Class 1 HGV driver

Job description

Overview:

We are seeking skilled and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our team, completing deliveries and collections in Dunstable, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas on a Monday to Friday basis. Start time will be 7am or 9am.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit (handball)
• Collection and delivery of goods to the required location
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience:

• Valid Class 1 licence (C+E)
• Current CPC and digital driving card.
• Clean Driving Licence and at least 12 months HGV driving experience.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
