Senior Technical Designer

Job description

We're partnering with an amazing London-based studio who are looking for a Senior Technical Designer to join their team.

The studio delivers exceptional, high-end hospitality projects across Europe and is now looking for a confident, technically strong designer to take on a key role within the team.

Reporting directly into the Founder, you'll have real autonomy and ownership over your projects. This is an opportunity for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys being client-facing and has the technical expertise to take projects from detailed design through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the technical delivery of high-end hospitality projects across Europe
• Lead projects and design packages independently, reporting directly into the Founder
• Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections and bespoke joinery details
• Develop and resolve technical design solutions throughout the project lifecycle
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Attend and lead client meetings, presentations and project discussions
• Coordinate project information and ensure design intent is maintained throughout delivery
• Work closely with the Founder to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard

Requirements

• 8–10+ years’ experience working on high-end hospitality, luxury residential or commercial interior projects
• Strong technical design and detailing experience
• Excellent AutoCAD skills
• Confident using SketchUp
• Strong experience designing and detailing bespoke joinery
• Comfortable taking ownership of projects and working independently
• Confident client-facing with strong communication and presentation skills
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple responsibilities
• A confident and ambitious designer who enjoys being given autonomy and responsibility
