The Role
You will join the London Private Equity team, which acts as a hub for European and cross-border deal activity spanning the full investment lifecycle. Typical mandates include platform acquisitions, complex carve-outs, take-private transactions, growth investments, co-investments and strategic disposals. The work is highly varied and requires close interaction with colleagues across multiple international offices and practice areas.
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most highly regarded partners in the market and benefit from a lean team structure, giving associates exceptional responsibility and exposure to all elements of a transaction from an early stage. With a client base focused on leading private equity sponsors, the work is both high-value and strategically significant, offering outstanding experience for ambitious associates.
What They’re Looking For
- 1-5 years’ post-qualification experience in private equity or leveraged buyouts
- Background from an elite US, Magic Circle or leading international firm
- Solid experience advising on cross-border transactions, particularly sponsor-side
- Strong technical ability and first-class drafting skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams within demanding timelines
- Commercial and solutions-driven mindset, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
