Infrastructure Finance Senior Solicitor

Hydrogen Group is looking for a Infrastructure Finance Senior Solicitor

Job description

Senior Associate – Infrastructure Finance | London

A leading US law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate (c.5–7 PQE) to its London Banking team, with a particular focus on the infrastructure and energy financing market.

The team is seeking strong general infrastructure finance experience, particularly across UK and European operational, brownfield and asset-backed financings. Experience acting for lenders and/or sponsors is important. While some project finance exposure would be useful, this is not intended to be a predominantly PF-led role.

There is also genuine interest in lawyers coming from a leveraged finance background, particularly those who have advised funds and lenders and are now looking to build a more substantial infrastructure-sector practice.

The wider practice advises across the infrastructure, energy and resources market, covering acquisition and refinancing work, portfolio and fund financings, corporate finance, project finance and restructuring. The team works across sectors including energy, utilities, transport, digital infrastructure and other essential assets, with a strong pipeline of UK and European opportunities.

What makes this particularly relevant for Senior Associates: following a recent merger, the firm is focused on continued growth, creating a strong platform for lawyers looking for long-term progression within a developing infrastructure finance practice.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • c.5–7 PQE, or equivalent experience
  • Strong infrastructure finance and/or leveraged finance experience
  • Exposure to lender and/or sponsor-side mandates
  • Ideally some project finance experience, though this is secondary to broader infrastructure or leveraged finance expertise
  • Training and experience from a leading City or US firm
  • Strong drafting, technical and client-facing skills

If you are an infrastructure finance or leveraged finance lawyer considering a move towards a broader infrastructure-focused practice, this could be a particularly well-timed opportunity.
