Our client, a global organisation employing more than 55,000 individuals, is looking to engage with a contract Night Shift H&S Advisor with a strong health & safety background in construction, preferably within highly regulated industries including Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy or similar
Night Shift H&S Advisor remit includes;
- A highly visible operational role conducting regular site inspections, spot checks, workforce engagement, and coaching to promote a positive safety culture
- Remain energetic, proactive, and highly visible on site.
- Offer H&S advice & risk/compliance solutions to onsite contracts team
- Undertake H&S Risk assessments across all business areas and deliver reports
- Perform audits of policies, procedures and company processes for Client as required, to ensure safe systems of work, delivering reports within SLA timeframes
- Undertake accident and Incident Investigations
- Identify EHS risks and advise on mitigation strategies to reduce risk/exposure
- Provide high standards of decision making and assist in continually improving H&S standards onsite
Night Shift H&S Advisor profile;
- BSc (Hons), NEBOSH, Diploma in Health & Safety Management or similar
- IOSH membership + good knowledge of CDM regs & UK health & safety legislation
- Lead auditor training in Health & Safety Management
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate advantageous
- Experience in Civils, MEH (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC), welding, valves, or similar construction/engineering disciplines
- Strong coaching and influencing skills.
- Confident challenging unsafe behaviours and engaging the workforce.
- Excellent report, presentation & communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple contractors, interfaces, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
