With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, they are a trusted supplier within the automotive industry.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector Supervisor
- Nights and Weekends to join the weekend night shift team in Leicester.This is a hands-on role combining quality inspection responsibilities with team supervision .
You will be responsible for ensuring components meet customer and quality standards using both automated and manual inspection methods, while supporting compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 .You will also supervise a team of up to five machinists, ensuring production and quality standards are consistently maintained throughout the shift.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CMM equipment and automated measurement softwareCarry out accurate dimensional inspections and interpret measurement reportsRead and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specificationsPerform manual measurements using micrometers, verniers/calipers and height gaugesIdentify, document and manage non-conforming componentsSupport root cause analysis and corrective actionsMaintain accurate quality records and update BIANCAEnsure QA procedures are followed, including the management of rejects, rework and gaugesMonitor and maintain quality standards throughout the night shiftSupervise and support a team of up to five machinistsEnsure the team works safely and efficiently while meeting production and quality requirementsExperience & SkillsThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer roleExperience within a machining or automotive manufacturing environment would be xohmjla advantageousGood knowledge of CMM inspection and dimensional measurementAbility to read engineering drawings and understand GD&TExperience using manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers and height gaugesStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to qualityThe confidence to supervise and support a small teamThe ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night shiftsHow to ApplyIf you are an experienced Quality Inspector Supervisor
