HGV 1 Shunters Required \n Location:Daventry\n Shift Pattern:4 On / 4 Off\n Shift Length:12 Hours\n \nDAYS: 06:00 18:00 -£20.84 P/H\n \nNIGHTS: 18:00 - 0600 -£22.41 P/H \n \nWe are currently recruitingHGV Class 1 Shuntersfor a busy supermarket distribution site inDaventry.\n \nThis is a fantastic opportunity to securelong-term, ongoing workwith a consistent4 on / 4 off shift pattern, offering excellent work-life balance and regular hours.\n The Role\n \nAs an HGV Shunter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers around the distribution site, ensuring trailers are correctly positioned and ready for loading and unloading.\n Duties include:\n \n

• Moving and positioning trailers and containers around the site.

\n

• Moving trailers on and off loading bays.

\n

• Connecting and disconnecting trailers safely.

\n

• Carrying out trailer and vehicle safety checks.

\n

• Positioning trailers correctly for loading and unloading.

\n

• Moving trailers between designated areas of the site.

\n

• Using theC3 terminal within the Tugto receive and complete movement tasks.

\n

• Following movement instructions through the C3 system.

\n

• Communicating with the transport and warehouse teams.

\n

• Following all site traffic management and health & safety procedures.

\n

• Ensuring all movements are completed safely and efficiently.

\n

• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle and site safety.

\nRequirements\n \n

\n
• ValidHGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

\n

• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience.

\n

• Previous shunting experience is desirable.

\n

• Good understanding of trailer and vehicle safety checks.

\n

• Comfortable working within a busy distribution environment.

\n

• Able to follow electronic movement instructions usingC3.

\n

• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.

\n

• Professional approach to work.
