HGV Class 1 Driver – Livingston

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Livingston to join our well-established client based in Livingston.

\n

This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent weekday work, excellent rates of pay, and ongoing assignments within a busy transport operation.

\n

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV CE Driver, Category C+E Driver, General Haulage Driver, or Tramper Driver.

\n

Shifts

\n

 • Monday to Friday
\n  • 08:00 – 18:00

\n

Rates of Pay

\n

 • £16.50 per hour

\n

Day-to-Day Duties

\n

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

\n

 • Carrying out general haulage deliveries and collections
\n  • Delivering to sites with forklift unloading facilities or loading bays
\n  • Completing vehicle checks and transport paperwork
\n  • Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently
\n  • Maintaining compliance with driver hours and tachograph regulations
\n  • Providing a professional service to customers and delivery sites
\n  • Following all company policies and transport procedures

\n

Essential Skills

\n

The essential skills required to be an HGV Class 1 Driver include:

\n

 • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
\n  • Valid CPC qualification card
\n  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • Good understanding of driver regulations and tachograph legislation
\n  • Reliable and punctual approach to work
\n  • Good communication and customer service skills
\n  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

\n

Desirable Experience

\n

 • Previous general haulage experience
\n  • Experience completing deliveries and collections within a transport environment

\n

Training Provided

\n

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment

\n
