Coldstore Operative & Relief Delivery Driver - Permanent Position

\n

Hours:
\n Monday to Friday, 8:00am 4:00pm (including Bank Holidays) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.- variable hours
\n Occasional early starts (from 7:00am) may be required when covering delivery routes.

\n

£13.20 per hour - 37.5 hours per week

\n

About the Role:
\n We're looking for a dependable and flexible individual to join our client's small, friendly team. As a Coldstore Operative, youll work in a temperature-controlled environment at -20C (full protective clothing provided), picking and preparing frozen orders. Youll also act as a Relief Delivery Driver, stepping in to cover deliveries during staff absences.

\n

This is a hands-on, customer-focused role that requires a strong team ethic and a willingness to support colleagues across different areas of the business.

\n

What You'll Be Doing:

\n

\n
• Picking and preparing customer orders in our coldstore

\n

• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries

\n

• Safely and lawfully driving company vehicles

\n

• Using our delivery driver mobile app and route tools (e.g., Google Maps, what3words)

\n

• Carrying out pre-delivery vehicle inspections when required

\n

• Supporting other departments as needed

\n

• Respecting and maintaining customer confidentiality

\n\n

What Were Looking For:

\n

\n
• Full, clean UK manual driving licence

\n

• Previous customer service experience

\n

• Confidence using basic technology and mobile apps

\n

• Strong communication skills

\n

• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and schedules

\n

• Warehouse experience is a plus but not essential

\n

• Evidence of work reliability and stability

\n\n
