Full Time | Temporary | September 2026

Enlightenment Education are recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a primary school in the Littleover area of Derby.

\n

This is a full-time temporary position from 7th September to 30th September 2026, working Monday to Friday.

The Role\n

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils through a mixture of intervention work and classroom teaching.

\n

Duties will include:

\n

\n
• \n Delivering targeted interventions during the morning

\n

• \n Providing PPA cover during the afternoon

\n

• \n Teaching classes across Years 3 to 6

\n

• \n Planning and delivering lessons

\n

• \n Managing classroom behaviour effectively

\n

• \n Supporting pupils with their learning and development

\n

• \n Working alongside teaching staff and the wider school team

\nAbout You\n

We are looking for someone who:

\n

\n
• \n Has experience working in a primary school

\n

• \n Has experience working across Key Stage 2

\n

• \n Is confident leading a class independently

\n

• \n Has strong behaviour management skills

\n

• \n Can deliver engaging and effective lessons

\n

• \n Is confident adapting their approach to meet different pupil needs

\n

• \n Is reliable, organised and professional

\n

• \n Can commit to the full duration of the placement

\n\n

HLTA experience is preferred, although experienced Teaching Assistants with strong whole-class teaching experience may also be considered.
