Job Overview

We are seeking a professional HGV 1 Driver based in Bedford to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily Double decker Vehicles The position is paid and requires a valid HGV licence, with a particular emphasis on commercial driving experience.

Delivering to Stores

\n

we have both store deliveries or Tramping.

\n

Stores shift patterns are between 01:00-04:00 or 08:00-16:00

\n

Any 5 or 4 days out of 7 but must cover at least one weekend day

\n

Paye only £21.50 During the week, weekends £23.50 all inclusive on holiday pay.

\n

Tramping Role:

\n

4 on 4 off 00:00-01:00

\n

4 on 4 off 01:00-02:00

\n

4 on 4 off 11:00-12:00

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Valid HGV 1 (Class 1) licence for at least 6months

\n

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment

\n

• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable

\n

• Good knowledge of Bedford and surrounding areas for efficient route planning

\n

• Ability to operate lorry controls confidently and safely

\n

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively

\n

• Excellent communication skills and professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
