Female* Support Worker Specialist Adult Residential (CQC)

Location: Chester

Pay Rate: £13.50 £14.00 per hour + paid sleep-ins

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (Includes day shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins)

The reality of the role

We believe in total honesty: specialist adult residential care is deeply rewarding, but it comes with real responsibilities. The adults we support may have autism, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and emotional or behavioural needs.

This isn't fast-turnaround, drop-in care; you will be part of a dedicated residential home environment. We need individuals who are resilient, empathetic, and open-mindedpeople who are ready to learn positive behaviour support, understand sensory needs, and support residents through the challenging moments with patience and warmth.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting Daily Life: Assisting with daily routines, meal preparation, personal care, and developing key independent living skills.
• Building Relationships: Getting to know our supported adults as individualsunderstanding their passions, sensory preferences, and communication styles.
• Promoting Community Inclusion: Helping residents access local community activities, hobbies, outings, and leisure events.
• Maintaining Safety & Wellbeing: Following person-centred care plans, positive behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding guidelines to maintain a calm, structured, and therapeutic home environment.

What we're looking for

• No previous care experience requiredwe hire for empathy, reliability, and values, and provide full, paid training.
• Experience in adult care, mental health support, or customer-facing roles is a bonus, but a patient, respectful attitude is what matters most.
• Willingness to support individuals living with autism, mental health needs, or behavioural challenges.
• Comfort with personal care tasks and working a rotational shift pattern including weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence is desirable
