Class 2 Driver

Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced HGV 2 Driver to join our team on a temporary basis, providing cover for a period of long-term sickness.
The Role You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 Driver , ensuring deliveries are made safely, efficiently and on time. You may also be required to drive a 3.5-tonne vehicle when needed.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate a 12-tonne rigid curtainside vehicle
Complete deliveries and collections as required
Carry out vehicle checks and report any issues
Ensure goods are transported securely
Complete relevant delivery paperwork
Provide excellent customer service
Follow all relevant road safety and company procedures
Requirements Valid licence and entitlement to drive a 12-tonne rigid vehicle
Previous HGV driving experience preferred
Experience driving curtainside vehicles would be advantageous
Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks
Reliable, punctual and professional
Flexible approach to driving both HGV and 3.5-tonne vehicles
Working Hours Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Temporary contract: 3 August to 28 August 2026 inclusive
