HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER DUSTCART / STAINES
We are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Dustcart Drivers for a waste collection operation based in Staines. This role involves both driving and assisting with loading, working as part of a team on daily collection routes.
This is an ongoing opportunity offering consistent weekday work with optional Saturdays. Immediate starts available.
Role: HGV Class 2 Driver (Dustcart)
Contract Type: Temporary / Ongoing
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Saturday optional)
Start Time: 05:30 AM (06:00 AM on the road)
Finish Time: Around 14:00 (earlier finishes possible depending on route)
PAY
Standard Rate Weekday (MonFri)
Basic Hourly Rate: £18.00
Holiday Pay (Rolled Up): £2.51
Total Hourly Pay (Inclusive): £20.51
Overtime: Not applicable
Pay Frequency: Weekly
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Driving HGV Class 2 dustcart vehicles
Assisting with loading bins and waste collection
Working as part of a crew on planned routes
Ensuring safe and efficient collection of waste
Conducting daily vehicle checks
Following health & safety procedures at all times
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
Valid CPC Card
Digital Tachograph Card
Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
Previous dustcart driving experience essential
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
Reliable, punctual and team-focused
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
Must complete a driving assessment (approx. 45 minutes)
Induction required prior to starting
Must sign health & safety documentation before first shift
