Quest Employment are recruiting for experienced HLOP Drivers / Warehouse Operatives to work for our client based in the DE24 area .
Successful candidates will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient execution of day-to-day warehouse activities , supporting operational performance and customer service within a busy warehouse environment.
Please note: Initial training will take place in the DE74 area before moving to the permanent site in DE24.
Shift Patterns We are recruiting across the following shifts:
Mornings: 06:00 - 14:00
Days: 14:00 - 22:00
Nights: 22:00 - 06:00
Working patterns may include:
Monday-Friday
Tuesday-Saturday
Sunday-Thursday
Specific shift and working pattern will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate HLOP trucks in line with training, certification and site procedures
Complete daily pre-use checks and report any defects or safety concerns
Follow all health and safety requirements, including PPE and safe working practices
Safely operate at height within racking systems
Move, replenish, retrieve and store stock accurately within very narrow aisle racking
Ensure stock is correctly located and recorded using warehouse systems
Use WMS/RF systems accurately
Support picking, replenishment, loading, unloading and general warehouse duties when required
Work flexibly across HLOP and other warehouse activities
Maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy
Report stock discrepancies, damages or operational issues promptly
Work closely with colleagues and supervisors
Maintain a strong safety-first approach at all times
Support improvements to warehouse safety, efficiency and processes
Requirements Previous warehouse experience
Previous experience operating HLOP trucks in a warehouse or logistics environment
Valid HLOP licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent) or willingness to be trained
Experience using WMS/RF systems is advantageous
Experience with other MHE equipment is an advantage
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
Comfortable working at height within racking systems
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work
Ability to work safely and accurately in a busy warehouse environment
