A regulator of childcare and social services are seeking a Lawyer to join their Enforcement and Appeals team.

Role and Responsibilities

You will join a team providing legal advice on a range of enforcement activity and general public law matters. This will include conducting advocacy in relation to appeals against regulatory enforcement decisions including suspension or cancellation of registration and other litigation work as required including prosecutions.

You will be responsible for raising awareness of litigation risks and taking steps to ensure that appropriate actions are taken to mitigate those risks including actions at pre-litigation stage. You will liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on legal issues.

Candidate

We are keen to see applications from Solicitors with a background in legal aid, criminal law, mental health, public law or regulatory law. Candidates with 0-3 years of experience are encouraged to apply but we are also considering candidates who are more senior.
